COVID-19 Response

APRIL 6, 2020

Starting Monday, April 6th, Newport Medical and Wellness Center will be open during normal hours and ready to see healthy patients only. We will continue to conduct virtual Telemed appointments for any patients in need or not wanting to be out in public at this time.

We are asking patients that are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, cough, congestion to stay home and set up a virtual appointment. Also, to be in compliance with social distancing guidelines, we are now asking walk-in appointments for blood draws, injections and so forth to call prior to coming in so we can schedule you. This will allow us to prevent the lobby from overcrowding.

Please call our office at 949-631-9009 to schedule your appointment or ask any questions. We will keep our patients and clients updated as information changes or changes to our schedule occurs.

MARCH 23, 2020

Dear Friends,

Our deepest condolences for any families affected by COVID-19. These are unprecedented times in which we are experiencing quickly changing guidelines and recommendations. Together we are confronting the COVID-19 pandemic and it is more important than ever to take care of one another and be diligent and wise in our daily activities. A critically important part of that means adhering, unequivocally, to the behavioral and infection prevention guidelines that have been strongly recommended by the nation’s health care experts. While this pandemic continues to change the way all of us operate as we collectively try to flatten the curve, Newport Medical and Wellness Center remains here and available for our community.

I want to take this opportunity to reassure you that I and all of the Newport Medical and Wellness Center team take our role as your trusted health care partner to heart. It is certain that our nation — Orange County included — will experience more cases of infection in the days and weeks ahead. We have an exceptional health care team, protocols and strategies to help our clients stay healthy during this time.

Newport Medical and Wellness Center continues to actively monitor the COVID-19 evolving situation and engage in best practices to assist in reducing the spread of new cases. While we remain available for our community, we have modified operations at our office.

As of this time, our office is closed for in-office patient appointments until at least Monday, April 6th. During this time our staff and practitioners will continue to be working from home and in the office between the hours or 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to schedule and conduct virtual Telemed appointments, to fill prescriptions and to answer questions. We also have curbside pick-up for clients in need of Optifast products.

Please call our office at 949-631-9009 for more details if you have any of these needs. We will keep our patients and clients updated as information changes or changes to our schedule occurs.

Whenever possible, please stay at home and avoid contact with people outside of your household to reduce transmission as much as possible. Please listen to our nation’s health care experts at the CDC and NIH for more guidance and call us here at Newport Medical and Wellness Center when you have questions. We will keep our patients and clients updated as information changes or changes to our schedule occurs.

Very best and remain healthy!
